October 2007 Studio Newsletter

Studio News:

Please be aware of our dress code.  It is listed in the Student/Parent Handbook. Now that classes have been in session for 1 month, all dancers should have the appropriate leotards, tights and shoes for class, with hair secured neatly in a bun for all ballet classes. Dancer’s not following the appropriate dress and hair codes will be asked to sit out of class. Please remember no jewelry other than a wedding/engagement ring or stud earrings are permitted in any class. If you are having difficulties finding the appropriate dancewear please let us know so may be of help.

Bring A Friend Week” is October 22 -26. We will hand out fliers for you to share with a friend!  Remember that all friends participating must bring with them the signed parent release in order to take class. This is a great chance to share your love of dance with your friends.

As the month of December approaches, please remember that all costume rental fees must be paid by 12/1. All payments received after that date will have a $10 late fee. Costumes that are not paid for will not be ordered. If you aren’t sure of your costume balance, please see Sasha.

All dancers will be measured for costumes the week of November 12 -16. Please make class a priority during that time; if you miss being measured at that time, we will finish up taking measurements the week of November 26 – 30. All students must be measured no later than the 30th of Nov.

Come watch Celebration Street students participate in “The Nutcracker” November 18 at Jacoby Auditorium. We can’t wait to watch you dance.

“Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another.”

"An 8 count dance is like the Gospel of Jesus. You learn it, teach it, and break it down to its most basic element until it becomes natural. Then something happens, the natural becomes 'supernatural', revelation kicks in, transformation begins. From a dancer you become a worshipper, who becomes a warrior for the Lord. So, get your groove on and let the world see!”
