/Oct. 2009 Studio News -Welcome Back!
We
welcome you back for our Fall Season of Dance! We have
just finished up our first week back in class and are so happy
that you have joined our dance family. Our Staff and
Faculty are very excited about the upcoming year and what God
has in store for us. We thank you for the support you have
given us over the last 11 years and want to encourage each of
you to continue the support and encouragement of your children.
Celebration Street was founded in 1998 by our Director
Laura Ruiz. Our studio was
birthed out of a sheer need, the need to provide parents and
students with a non-compromising Christian alternative to
quality dance instruction dedicated to the glory of the Lord. We
are a 501c3 non-profit charitable corporation governed by a
Board of Directors; the daily operation of C-Street is run by
Laura Ruiz, Director/Founder and Sasha Martinez, Administrator.
Our
Mission: Founded in 1998 Celebration Street
is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching dance with an
emphasis on glorifying the Lord.
Our Vision: We believe that every child should
experience the arts regardless their financial ability; it is
our vision to pass on to the generations, the art and love for
dance and the performing arts.
Our
Teaching Faculty for 2009/2010:
Laura Ruiz, Pam Bowman, Elizabeth Denny, Rachel Denny, Kelsey
Cullett & Mikayla Hajek Teaching Assistants for
2008/2009: Alex Martinez, Haylee Bowman, Emily
Swanson & Sheila Jones.
A
few quick things:
Please
remember we do have a dress code, every student must wear a
leotard, and ballet students need to wear black leotards and
pink tights only with hair in a bun – not a pony tail. Come
October Students who do not dress appropriately will be asked to
sit out of class on a 3 strike warning. They will be given 2
warnings; the third time will result in sitting out of class.
Thank you for your understanding. If you need dancewear or
have questions, please let us know how we can help.
·
Please make sure your
dancer’s name is on every clothing and shoe item, to help
prevent lost items.
·
We have tuition payment
mailboxes! To better help serve you, we have a black payment box
in each of the studios in the case that Miss Sasha is not
available – in Studio A, the box located by the fire
extinguisher and in Studio B located in the sunroom. You
may place your payment in the payment box, please make sure you
payment reflects who and what the payment is for. Please
remember that unless you have made prior arrangements with the
office; all tuition is due on the 1st of each month
and is late if received after the 10th of each
month. All late accounts will be charged a $15 late fee. We
do not send out monthly billing statements; please mark your
calendars accordingly. We also accept credit & debit
payments through Pay-Pal on our website.
·
Do you know the code for the door? Now that we
have settled into a good routine in the studio, the main door
will normally be closed for the safety and protection of our
students. You will need to keyless entry code to open the door.
The code to the door is 12240. Don’t worry - if
you forget, we have a doorbell!
·
Please not that
costume payments are due paid in full by Dec. 1st. We
recommend taking your total costume balance and making it in 3
payments; Oct 1st, Nov 1st and Dec. 1st.
·
We will be
measuring dancers for costumes starting Nov.9; all
students need to be measured by Nov. 25th.
·
We will closed
for Thanksgiving on Nov.26th, 2009
